Pao is a modern Thai bbq restaurant in oslo. Our food is inspired by the confluence of culture and gastronomy that exists in Thailand, from the islands of the south, the northern and eastern regions to the metropolis of Bangkok. We employ techniques and recipes we have learnt from travelling across Thailand for the last twenty years, and utilise a vast array of local, organic and biodynamic ingredients from farms and fishermen Norway. The majority of our food is cooked over coal and our ambition is to serve our dishes at the same spice level we’d expect to receive in Thailand.
